sedex-Client Configuration🔗

This section of the documentation provides all relevant information for configuring the sedex-Client.
It is intended for system administrators and technical staff who install, operate, and adapt the client to meet specific operational or security requirements.

The following pages are included:

  • Memory: Explains how to adjust memory usage, allocation, and tuning parameters for optimal client performance.

  • Client Properties: Provides an overview of all configurable parameters and their effects on the behavior and operation of the sedex-Client.

  • Network Services: Describes the configuration of the sedex-Client’s network services — the Web Service Proxy / sedex Messaging REST API and the Monitoring Service — including network ports, binding addresses, and access control.

  • Network Services TLS Certificates: Covers the configuration of TLS certificates required for secure HTTPS communication of the client’s network services.
    Both automatically generated self-signed certificates and custom participant-provided certificates are supported.

  • Automatic Remote Updates: Explains how to configure the remote update mechanism to allow controlled updates of the sedex-Client, e.g., in exceptional or emergency cases.

  • Participant Certificates: Details how to manage the sedex participant certificates (X.509) used for strong authentication within the sedex platform, including their configuration, renewal, and protection mechanisms.
