Verify prerequisites
See system requirements for the general operational requirements of a sedex-Client.
Further prerequisites depend on the type of installer you choose:
Prerequisites for the Java installer (JAR)🔗
-
A preinstalled Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for Java 17 is required to run the Java installer and the installed sedex-Client.
The environment variable
JAVA_HOMEmust point to the base folder of the JRE. -
On Linux-based systems, a graphical desktop must be available if you want to use the graphical installer.
Alternatively you can use a console-based installation or use a configuration file-based silent installation.
Prerequisites for the Windows installer (EXE)🔗
There are no further requirements to run the Windows installer. The Windows installer already contains an integrated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to run the installer itself and automatically installs a dedicated JRE to run the installed sedex-Client.
Note: On Windows systems, both installer programs will automatically install a dedicated JRE for the sedex-Client.
