Features of sedex-Messaging🔗
The main features of sedex-Messaging are:
- Participants identify themselves with certified organization certificates from the SwissGov PKI (specific class C certificates)
- Messages are end-to-end encrypted and are therefore secure against eavesdropping by third parties (the interface of the sedex client to the specialized applications is defined as the end point here)
- Messages are digitally signed, i.e. they are protected against changes during transport
- The message exchange is reliable and traceable up to the defined end point, i.e. it is always clear where a message is or was at any given time
- The sender is automatically notified of the success or failure of a message delivery by means of a technical receipt
- Message transmission is asynchronous (store-and-forward principle), i.e. sender and receiver do not have to be online at the same time
- Messages can be stored on the server for up to 30 days
- Transfers messages up to a maximum size of 10GB
- As the central data exchange platform in the e-government environment, sedex has several thousand accessible participants at the federal, cantonal and municipal levels, and increasingly also private organizations that interact with public authorities
- The sedex servers are designed with multiple redundancies and are distributed across several data centers, ensuring a high level of operational reliability and availability.
- Two different messaging interfaces enable easy integration into all specialized applications in any situation
