The sedex Messaging REST API

The sedex Messaging REST API is a machine interface provided by the sedex-Client. It allows the business applications of a sedex participant to send sedex messages and receive sedex messages using the HTTPS protocol. In other words, the sedex Messaging REST API allows a business application to exchange data with other business applications connected to the sedex platform.

The two messaging interfaces of the sedex-Client

The Messaging REST API is available as an option in sedex-Clients from version 7.0. At the same time, sedex continues to offer the file system messaging interface for sending and receiving sedex messages, which has been available since version 1.0. Both interfaces will continue to exist in parallel in the future and are equivalent.
