Choose an installer type
The sedex Client’s installer program is a Java-based application available in two forms:

Java installer (for all operating systems)
The Java installer (a JAR file) requires a preinstalled Java Runtime Environment (JRE). It can be run on any operating system that supports Java.

Windows Installer (for Windows only)
The Windows installer (an EXE file) does not require a preinstalled Java Runtime Environment (JRE) because it installs its own.
